Commissions

Commissions are taken for both caricatures and pastel portraits. Every attempt is made to have them completed by the required deadline (where practical!)
Commissions can be requested for personal use or corporate use.

Portraits

Commissions for Portraits can be made by contacting me. Portraits will, in most instances, be created in soft pastel and require framing.

These can be done from a series of photos, or one good photo if the lighting is suitable (shadows add important effects in most cases).

Ideally I like to sit with the person, get to know them a bit and take photos in that setting to work from.

Portraits can be done for personal use, gifts or corporate needs.

Please Note: These drawings are caricatures, not realistic photos or portraits.  If you want realism take a photo (or commission a pastel portrait!!)

Humour plays a significant part of the end product in order to amuse and please the client.

Commissions are drawn from photos.  The better the photos and accompanying information, the better the end product.

For colour commissions, a draft can be requested prior to the inking and colouring process starts.  If at this time the client isn’t happy with the drawing the process stops there and the client will be billed for the pencil sketch only (see above).

Recommendations on adjustments to the drawing can be made at this time, however these will only be on the pose or extras and don’t have anything to do with the likeness.
